“Some Definite Service”

Our mission is to help all students encounter Christ who,
through prayer,
community,
and discipleship,
has called them to do Him
some definite service."

This phrase, 'some definite service' comes from a prayer that St. John H. Newman wrote when transitioning to a new phase in his life as a convert to Catholicism. Just like Newman a century and a half ago, many students today are transitioning to a new phase in their life. But in that new phase of life, they see more clearly the need to be who they are - made by God, that they belong to God and His family, and become like Christ when responding to his call to do Him 'some definite service.' We seek to live out this “definite service” of being, belonging, and becoming through the three pillars of
prayer, community, and discipleship.
